With the development and production of short-wave transmitters, a young pioneer in electronics named John Lay laid the foundation for the technology company in central Switzerland. After the initial success with the import and sale of the first television sets in the 1950s, John Lay Electronics became the official Swiss general importer for the Panasonic brand.
